Skilled Trades Ontario: Trade Reports

Skilled Trades Ontario certifies 144 of Ontario’s skilled trades. They also publish Trade Reports with a description of the trade, educational pathway, workforce demographics and a snapshot of the current labour market conditions.

Skilled Trades Ontario is a provincial agency responsible for apprenticeship and skilled trades certification for Ontario’s 144 skilled trades.

They are an important industry partner for current and future apprentices, training providers and employers (many of which are the HCRA’s licensees).

In addition to conducting research and publicly providing Trades’ Reports, Skilled Trades Ontario also supports the professionalism and workforce development of our industry, through services such as a Trade Equivalency Assessment. A Trade Equivalency Assessment is the first step towards obtaining a Certificate of Qualification for experienced workers who have not completed an Ontario apprenticeship but who have equivalent skills and experience.
