The Standard on Accessible Dwellings
This Standard gives technical advice on designing housing spaces to make sure they are accessible to people with different abilities.
The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) supported the Canadian Standards Association Group’s (CSA) development of this standard, to enable the design, construction and modification of affordable, adaptable and accessible homes. The technical requirements and recommendations in this Standard cover design elements of the physical spaces in housing to help ensure they are accessible to people with a wide range of abilities and disabilities.
